Acupuncture
Acupuncture, a form of evidence-based medicine, is an incredibly safe and gentle procedure that activates your body’s own healing potential. Acupuncture decreases inflammation, regulates the nervous system, improves blood flow, releases blockages, and balances your body’s biochemistry. Acupuncture needles are about as thin as a cat’s whisker.
Fertility and Perinatal Acupuncture
All of our acupuncturists are seasoned experts who specialize in reproductive health, and we have assisted thousands of patients in preparing or trying to conceive, maintaining healthy pregnancies, and recovering postpartum. Fertility acupuncture changes each week based on the phase of your cycle and strongly decreases inflammation and improves blood flow in your pelvic organs. We can help with every step of the journey, whether you’re trying naturally or have decided to use reproductive technologies such as IVF, IUI, or egg or embryo donors. We also treat male fertility challenges. Our team of ABORM (Acupuncture Board of Reproductive Medicine) fellows practices personalized medicine, and we use Eastern medicine, Western reproductive endocrinology, and functional medicine in whatever form suits your needs. Our approach means we see you on a regular basis, and we are passionate about witnessing and supporting you on every level—mind, body, and spirit.
Orthopedic Acupuncture and Pelvic Floor Acupuncture
Our orthopedic acupuncturist, Hilary Seamans, L.Ac., has advanced training and a wealth of experience treating orthopedic and pain conditions. Our goal with these sessions is for clients to make a full recovery so they no longer need acupuncture when they finish treatment with us. Hilary also offers pelvic floor acupuncture, which treats conditions ranging from back and hip pain to chronic constipation, incontinence, and hemorrhoids. She is certified through Myopain Seminars in Orthopedic Needling for the Pelvic Floor.
Herbal Medicine
Our office features a full-spectrum herbal pharmacy, and we are passionate about creating customized formulas for our patients rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. Whole Systems Chinese Medicine, which is treatment with both acupuncture and herbs, has been found to be more effective than acupuncture alone. As you move through the arc of healing, your acupuncturist will adjust your herbal medicine formula accordingly.
Therapeutic Bodywork
No matter what brings you to our clinic, your practitioner may incorporate other Chinese medicine modalities into your acupuncture treatment plan, including cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, e-stim, or therapeutic massage.
Microneedling
Our facial acupuncturist, Anna Ritner, L.Ac., offers Microneedling facials in the clinic. Microneedling is a minimally invasive, medical-grade facial that stimulates collagen and elastin production over the course of 4 to 6 sessions. Microneedling leads to the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, improved skin texture, and reduced appearance of scars. It can also help stimulate hair follicles for those dealing with hair loss or alopecia.
